Liquid Room Ebisu is a live house/concert hall located in Shibuya, Tokyo. It was started in 1994, though back then it was located in Shinjuku-ku, Kabukicho. It closed in January of 2004 but immediately re-opened in Shibuya-Ku that July.

Before the Liquid Room in Shinjuku-ku closed, they held an event known as the Liquid Room “Last Dance” which was set to commemorate their 10 years of establishment.

The Liquid Room is one of the few all night clubs with live music that houses natural and international artists, several different club events, professional wrestling tournaments and some movie premieres.

Facility

The Liquid Room is designed for standing. It can fit 900 people, though the original design when it was located in Shinjuku was only 700 people.

The 2nd floor has a café known as the “Tower Café” and run by Tower Records. There are also several shops in the building as well as lounges and space for relaxing.

The building itself is not known for its aesthetic appeal, but the acoustics are good and many popular Japanese artists enjoy playing in the area.

The use of several of the elevators is prohibited, and the stairs are relatively small and are considered inconvenient by many. Nevertheless, Liquid Room remains one of the more popular live music locations in Japan.
