Judy and Mary was a popular Japanese band whose songs featured a mix of pop and rock. The group formed in 1991 by founding members Yoshihito Onda and Yuki Isoya. Eventually, they would add Kohta Igarashi in 1992 and Asanuma Takuya in 1993.

In 1992 the band released an album on Chainsaw Records. In 1993, they signed with Epic/Sony and released the single Power of Love. Their first major album, J.A.M, was released in 1994. Judy and Mary toured heavily over the next few years and their popularity grew. Their breakthrough singlem was Sobakasu, which sold over a million copies.

In March 1997, Judy and Mary released The Power Source, which sold over two million copies, and continued touring. In late 1997, Isoya needed throat surgery, and the band took time off while she recovered.

Yuki Isoya was active with other projects during the late 90's, including work with popular Japanese singer Chara and a band called NiNa with Kate Pierson of the American band The B-52s.

In February 2001, Judy and Mary released their sixth and final album of original songs, entitled Warp. The band broke up in March 2001 following a final show at Tokyo Dome.

Isoya Yuki now has a successful solo career under the name Yuki. Asanuma Takuya reformed his old band Robots and also does some solo projects. Onda has joined a band called the Hot Rod Crue.
