'Riki Takeuchi is a Japanese actor born in Oita, Japan, on January 4, 1964. His birth name was Chikara Takeuchi. He is most known for starring in a great number of yakuza films as well as action films. His most famous and renowned roles were in the trilogy Dead or Alive (Dead or Alive: Hanzaisha, 1999; Dead or Alive 2: Tôbôsha, 2000; Dead or Alive: Final, 2002), as well as his starring role in the critically acclaimed film Battle Royale II: Requiem in 2003 as the Sensei.

For his performances in the films Blood (1998) as well as Dead or Alive: Hanzaisha (1999), Takeuchi won a Japanese Professional Movie Award (a Special Award) in the year 2000.
