Shun Oguri was born in Tokyo, Japan on December 26, 1982. He has been acting seriously since he was sixteen years old. He is most well-known as a television actor, most recently in Hana yori dango and its sequel Hana yori dango 2. Additionally, he has an extensive list of films that he has appeared in. He has even taken the time to lend his voice to several anime programs. Like many younger actors, he has a personal website, where fans can follow his acting career. His website also has a “diary” section, where Shun Oguri himself posts handwritten entries.

Shun Oguri claims to have not been interested in acting and only began taking acting classes in order to meet Uchida Yuuki, an actress whom he liked. Even though he did not like acting initially, he kept with it in hopes of one day meeting Yuuki. He says that now he loves acting and is glad that he chose it as his profession. Although he has had some starring roles, he prefers to have a supporting role in the television shows and films that he appears in.
