Miyagawa became known as one of the greatest cinematographers to come out of Japan. He became known for his work on the famous movie [[Rashomon]], and worked three times with one of Japan’s most well-known filmmakers: [[Akira Kurosawa]].

* [[Kenji Miyamoto]]
Miyamoto was born in Japan in the [[Yamaguchi Prefecture]] and attended [[Tokyo Imperial University]]. He joined the[[ Japanese Communist Party]] in [[1931]] and was arrested in [[1933]] by the Japanese military police. He went to prison for twelve years, only being released after the end of [[World War II]] by a decree from Emperor [[Hirihito]]. He got back into politics and ended up leading the Japanese Communist Party.
