She was born on the land upon which her gallery stands. Currently, the gallery is located in the eighth floor of the building, above retail shops.

Koyanagi has a high international profile thanks to its international roster of artists. Koyanagi is also the exclusive dealer for Japanese New York-based photographer [[Hiroshi Sugimoto]]. The gallery has also hosted art collaborations featuring Dior design [[Hedi Slimane]].
