Kiba Park

Kiba Park is a park in Kotoku city of Tokyo, Japan. The total area of Kiba Park is approximately 60 acres, all of which contain a great amount of open grass and spectacular greenery.

Enjoying the Kiba Park is easy with many great activities to choose from including tennis courts, swimming pools, playgrounds, jogging and biking trails, and weekend events. For those looking to admire the beautiful outdoors the park has tons of green fields, scenic walking trails, and fantastically landscaped gardens.

To maintain a flow and organization in the park it has been separated into two sections. The north area is used for sports events with several fields and tennis courts located in this division. The south are of the park is dedicated to events; there is a picnic area, gardens, and a child playground.


Contents

History

The area now known as Kiba Park was originally a lumber yard for a local construction supply company. Due to a change in developmental zoning plans, the lumber company relocated to another city selling the large area of land to the city of Kotoku.

  • Tokyo Modern Museum The Tokyo Modern Museum of Art is fairly new opening up in late 1994. The primary goal of the museum is to showcase the latest and most up to date artists of this time. Modern art has become a Japanese cultural characteristic and is prized in Tokyo.


Access

Kiba Park is accessible using either the subway or rail line. The park is located 5 minutes from Kiba Station, 15 minutes from the Kiyosumi Shirakawa Station, and 15 minutes from the Kikukawa Station.
