Koto-ku (江東区) is one of the 27 special wards of Tokyo. It is situated alongside the Tokyo Bay. Because most of its land is reclaimed from the bay, there are few old shrines or temples and many malls and modern amusements. The manmade island Odaiba is located in Koto-ku.
