Facility
Tokyo International Forum is made up of 14 different floors, including three located underground. The entire building is 145,000 m². Japan’s Representative Hall seats 5,012 people alone. Each hall is designed for a different purpose:
- Hall A – Designed for Representatives and major government relations, this hall can fit over 5,000 people, an interpreting system for 8 different languages, and a 400 inch projector.
- Hall B7 – Used primarily for fashion shows and other events that require a large open space, Hall B7 is the top floor of the B Block of the building. This floor can be separated into two different areas if necessary.
- Hall B5 – The middle story of the B Block, this floor was designed to look more futuristic and host large parties or anything with expensive catering demands.
- Hall C – This is the primary concert hall. It can fit 1,502 people, features the latest in audio technology, and is shaped in such a way as to bring out the acoustics. The color of the walls is supposed to resemble violin wood, and the hall is used mostly for classical music concerts and other events with intricate instrumentals.
- Hall D7 – The top floor of the D-Block, This floor is used mostly as a theater for plays and movie screenings, though it also works as a performance stage.
- Hall D5 – This hall is made mostly of granites and woods. It is generally used for parties and exhibitions, and has a lot of open space with very little seating.
- Hall D1 – As the bottom floor of the D-Block, this hall is designed for any type of presentation or performance that requires attendees to sit and stare and a particular screen. Lectures and movie premieres are ideal here.
- Exhibition Hall – This giant glass and granite arena is used primarily for large active events, such as trade shows or exhibitions. Its huge room can be divided into two sections, though it works well for any large gathering.
- Conference Rooms – There are over 30 different conference rooms, many with their own unique style to fit any event. For example, some rooms are shaped like a classroom, while others have one giant table where people can sit and discuss issues.
- Lounge – On the 7th floor is a large glass lounge. It is an ideal area to relax during a party or simply meet associates. The glass provides an outstanding view of Tokyo, and its halls are bright and vibrant.
There is also a large plaza with trees and greenery for anyone that would like to walk outside near the complex.
