writtenafterwards (リトゥンアフターワーズ) or "written afterwards" is a Japanese fashion brand created by designers Yoshikazu Yamagata and Kentaro Tamai in April 2007. The label is young, but the designers say that their line is fashion label for lady's real clothing and they want to take fashion design beyond simply clothing and link it to "education, society, culture, and environment".

Brand History

2004 - Kentaro Tamai graduates from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, UK.
2005 - Yoshikazu Yamagata graduates from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, UK.
2007 - writtenafterwards brand is established in Japan as a partnership between the two designers.
2007 - In September 2007, writtenafterwards shows it's first collection, #01.
2008 - Participated in Tokyo Fashion Week 2008

writtenafterwards Shops

writtenafterwards is a young brand and is available at a limited number of shops throughout Japan. The label had a limited time shop at Isetan in Shinjuku in spring 2008, and some of their goods are available through select boutiques and online shops. However, the main shop that carries their clothing is Issey Miyake's ELTTOB TEP in Osaka.
