Mass of the Fermenting Dregs (マス オブ ザ ファーメンティング ドレッグス) is an all female Japanese rock (JRock) band from Kobe, Japan. Their sound is often compared to other young Japanese post rock bands like Ling Tosite Sigure, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, and Number Girl.

The band was formed in 2002 in Kobe by singer and bassist Natsuko Miyamoto, guitair player Chiemi Ishimoto, and drummer Reiko Gotoh. Reiko Gotoh goto left the band in 2007 and Mass of the Fermenting Dregs has used several alternating drummers ever since. They signed to the Japanese indie record label Avocado Records in 2008, at which time they released a self titled EP.
Mass of the Fermenting Dregs is well known in the Japanese indie rock scene for their aggressive high energy live shows. They have played shows all over Japan and were one of the "breaking newcomers" at the 2007 Fuji Rock Festival.
