Innocent World is a Japanese gothic Lolita clothing store and brand located in the Harajuku neighborhood of Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan. The clothing, designed by Yum Hushiwara, stationed in Europe, is inspired mainly by classic clothing from the 18th and 19th century aristocracy of France and England.

Clothing Style

Innocent World carries a wide array of clothing ranging from sweet Lolita to plain gothic styles and a gothic Lolita mixture. However, most of Innocent World’s in-house clothing is designed in the classic Lolita sense, using a mixture of old aesthetics and styles from 18th Century French royalty and dignitaries. While not as emulative as some other classic Lolita clothing brands, the clothing maintains many of the same aesthetics with an emphasis on volume in the skirts, high waistlines, lots of frill and multiple layers, and ribbons and lace decorating multiple surfaces across the dress. A wide array of accessories are also offered including pendants, necklaces, chokers, bracelets, handbags, rings, and hairpins depicting a wide variety of gothic inspired imagery such as woodland creatures.

Shop Locations

The first Innocent World Store is located in Osaka, Japan while additional stores can be found in Umeda, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Hiroshima, Kobe, and Nagoya. In addition dealers of Innocent World clothing include:
